LAVIE - THE MILLENNIUM (2000s)
LAVIE RETROSPECTIVE IN CARACAS (2000).
The new millennium began with LAVIE’s first retrospective show at Galería de Arte Grupo Li in Caracas in 2000. In 2005, she had two shows at Galería OKYO in Caracas and Maracaibo. After her husband’s passing, she created works inspired in religious themes, and also continued painting her flowers as well as portraits and landscapes.
Continued painting with passion and discipline until the end. That same year, she lost her husband, which deeply affected her. Despite her grief, she continued working and was commissioned to paint the apse behind the sanctuary of a church in El Hatillo, Venezuela, followed by the 12 stations of the Via Crucis for the same church.
She also painted portraits of Saint Ursula and Saint Jude. In 2009, she participated in the opening of Gallerie Rachmaninoff in Geneva, Switzerland, and exhibited at the Royal Art Gallery of St. James Palace in London. Throughout this period, she continued to paint with discipline, passion, and a mystical dedication to her art.
